the posse and i got our hands dirty with glue and made our own advent calendar.
nothing like a little paper craftin' to get yourself in the holiday mood.
i got the santa idea from the holiday paper source catalog- they sell them as place cards.
in only six simple steps, i created my own little santa :) i used a small plate to trace a circle and free handed everything else. and the boys, who are a little heavy handed with the glue, put it together..well, with some assistance. :)
so everyday we just tear off a chain, until santa's arrival..
(makes for a good lesson in the number skills as well!)

Adorable! One of my favorite advent calendars my kids brought home from school- A picture of Santa and on his beard are circles with numbers 1-24. Each day they glue a piece of cotton to the right number.
