and what an adventure it was.
the weather was perfect considering we were in the desert. you won't find us there any other time- the weather in the summer is unbearable. it gets in the upper 90's, reaching sometimes to 100 degrees AT NIGHT in the summer!
the boys loved looking at the animals and their favorite was the little city with trains.
little brother loved taking advantage of his new found freedom (walking) while we were there..he was following big brother everywhere.
it was a fun experience minus the time when little brother almost got run over by the shuttle (long story, but oh.my.goodness.i just about died)
and someone taking our stroller.
don't worry, i got the stroller back. i tracked down the suspects at the butterfly exhibit and claimed my dirty red stroller back. apparently when they paid their three bucks to rent one of the zoo's strollers, they thought mine was one of them..
mmm yeah, the zoo's strollers were all plastic with animal prints on it and mine is a RED umbrella stroller.
i can see how they got confused.

big brother brought home a little friend..tommy, the snake. we have gp to thank for buying him that hideous thing. he was walking with the thing the entire time and everyone who walked by us either got scared because they thought it was a real snake or they stepped back and asked from afar if it was real.

see, it looks real, right?
