She woke up full of energy and ready to tackle the day.
She cleaned two bathrooms, did 2 loads of laundry, put up 2 pictures on the wall that have been sitting in her room for eight months, organized 2 closets, made her phones calls, and in between this all she entertained a very active toddler.
But some time between getting dinner ready and actually sitting down for her meal, her energy was slowly fading and her patience was being tested. Her dh and shadow were not helping a bit and she did not know what to do or how to respond to all the chaos.
She ate her dinner quietly and just knew she had to escape it all..oh for just an half an hour at least she thought.
She got her purse and her keys and proceeded towards the door, all the while having her shadow follow every step of hers..her shadow proceeded to block her way out of the door, but she knew that she had to escape, oh just for a little bit..it would be good for not only her, but for her shadow, too.
She left her posse behind, jumped in her car, and drove down the street. She needed to go somewhere..to one of her happy places..to Michaels.
There she was greeted with an endless array of creative possibilities. She wandered up and down each aisle, smiling to herself, and regaining the energy that was leaving her earlier. To her surprise, she was able to buy only what was on her mental list of things to buy.
She returned home and was embraced by her shadow and dh. She knew the half an hour escape would do them all good...
